Healing Testimonies

Usha, Gateway Church, Dubai

In Dubai, Usha had heard about the healings and came, bringing her unsaved husband. She was touched by God and came to the front to tell us that all the arthritic pains in her hands had left. She explained that this was the first time her husband had ever been into a Christian meeting and how excited she was that it was at this meeting that God chose to heal her. She had been saved three years. It was a beautiful joy to all of us when, at the end of the message, her husband joined the others who were coming forward to give their lives to Christ. Fourteen came forward. Of course, you couldn’t keep the family away and they came along to the church meeting in the evening. Hallelujah!

"For nine years, since the birth of my first child, I have been having a problem with my bladder, especially at night. After every fifteen minutes of sleep I constantly needed to go to the bathroom. Lex started his sermon by asking those who needed healing to come forward, which they did, but I did not. He then asked people to open their hands as if receiving. Lex then started praying for those who were at the front and I opened my hands to receive healing. Instantly I felt a sharp pain right below my belly and I knew God meant business with me. I slept like a baby for the whole week. Today it is week two and I have not woken up at night since.

I have been a Christian for seven years, have led cell groups, prayed for people to be healed but have never really believed that it works. This has been an obstacle in my Christian faith but that all came to an end during the Front Edge weekend!"

Tom Amner, Brighton, UK

Lex came to Brighton in April 2006 to Church of Christ the King. Anne Amner was in the crèche with her baby, Tom. She had an appointment with an eye doctor the next day to examine Tom, whose eyes did not focus or react to light. Anne was watching the close-circuit television as Lex prayed for healing. Suddenly, she was aware that Tom appeared to be gazing at a toy. His eyes followed it as she moved it. The next day the eye doctor examined him and said that his sight was absolutely fine – and it has remained so ever since!

"Being a Civil Engineer, in my younger days I had to stand and walk for long periods at construction sites. This used to cause severe pain in my legs and back. No doctors could help me. They could not find anything wrong and they attributed the pain due to stress and prescribed stress tablets and tonics. I had spent a lot of money in those days having vibro-massage for my leg and back. Nothing helped. For relief, I would tie my leg with crepe bandages like the traffic policemen used to do so that they could stand and guide the traffic for long periods of time.

I carried on like this for more than twenty years until I stopped working at construction sites. Although I had some relief, I would suffer leg and back pain if I had to exert myself and especially when standing during praise and worship in LWC. Many prayed for my healing but to no avail, until Terry Virgo arrived on the scene during the Festival of Faith event in January 2007.

Terry made a simple short prayer and I was stunned to find a wonderful miracle and now I can exert myself and stand during praise and worship without suffering any pain.
