Extreme heat and bush fires, torrential rain and flooding. ‘Never seen anything like it,' must have been a frequently-voiced phrase uttered all over the world. ‘The best yet!' has also been a well-used statement following the Together on a Mission and Mobilise conferences in Brighton, which was quickly followed by Rendezvous, the French Bible Week, and Newday, the Newfrontiers summer event for teenagers.

Last October prophetic words speaking of floods were given at prayer and fasting...

‘I found myself standing alongside the River Thames and I saw the water levels beginning to rise. As it began to rise, it began to sweep over the banks and begin to rush the city.

I felt, specifically for the City of London, there is about to come an overwhelming sense of the presence of God and conviction. I felt God speak to me about bringing a new prophetic herald, a new prophetic voice, a forerunner in churches that will begin to speak out against immorality, injustice and sin, and there will be a sense of conviction that will begin to sweep over, specifically, London ... I felt God even say it will be a physical thing ... I could see physical floods beginning to happen all across the nation of England ... God would say to you I want you to know this is not something that is going to happen, it is beginning to happen. Revival is breaking out ...'

Here are more wonderful testimonies recently received following Terry praying at two UK churches.

‘For many years I suffered badly with Coeliac disease, being allergic to many different foods that caused me stomach pains, diarrhoea and also pain in my legs and feet. As Terry prayed for me I felt a hot sensation flow from the top of my head down through my body to

my feet and all pain and discomfort left me immediately. I have eaten all foods since with no ill effects. Praise God, I am completely healed!'

Annie writes ‘God has done something amazing. In 1993 when I was diagnosed with cancer I came out of hospital with shingles and have had non-stop shingles ever since. While Terry was praying for me I could actually feel the five places where I had blisters starting to burn. The following day the blisters had gone! The following week was pressurised and would normally cause shingles to return, but there is absolutely nothing. I am completely clear. Praise God!'

After receiving this testimony we learnt that Annie had been doubly blessed. She has been suffering severe chronic discomfort for 20 years following a bladder operation. The consultant had said he felt she was too bad now to be operated on but she could get a second opinion. Terry prayed that she would not need an operation. The pain has completely gone and the condition has been completely healed!

March this year saw ‘The Father's House' in Smiltene become a Newfrontiers church plant. David and Ilze Jones moved from City Church, Cambridge, UK to Smiltene in 2002 and started a cell group in their apartment. Sunday morning worship now takes place in the local Family Crisis Centre, gathering up to 30 adults and a small number of children. The group has seen an increased rate of growth since last summer when several people were baptised in a local lake. Input from Newfrontiers pastors and friends visiting Smiltene from other European nations has been particularly valuable in helping to build the work on a firm, Biblical foundation. It has also given this small church, in a small town, a real sense of God's bigger picture and purpose. They are already starting to consider the need for a larger hall for Sunday meetings.

The Newfrontiers French Bible Week took place at the end of July in the South of France. Praise God for the evident affection between the leaders and the people who gathered from the North and South of France and beyond. The presence of God in the worship times was absolutely wonderful. Speakers included Terry Virgo, Julian Adams, Peter Carter and Jean Hay. A French translation of Restoration in the Church by Terry Virgo was launched at the event. We trust God will provide ways of distributing this book widely so that they can get into hungry hearts.

53 nations were represented at this year's Together on a Mission with Mobilise conference in Brighton, UK. Thousands gathered in the Brighton Centre for amazing worship and inspiring teaching. An incredible offering of one and a quarter million pounds was taken as people gave with a passion and joy as they danced down the aisles!
