Terry Virgo - UK

Terry is based at Church of Christ the King, Brighton, UK and leads the Newfrontiers team. A well-known Bible teacher, Terry speaks at conferences around the world. He has written several books including No Well-Worn Paths, Does the Future Have a Church?, God’s Lavish Grace and, his latest, The Tide is Turning.


Mark Driscoll - USA

In 1996, Mark Driscoll founded Mars Hill Church in Seattle. It has grown to over 6,000 people. He co-founded and is President of the Acts 29 Church Planting Network, which has planted over 100 churches in the USA and internationally. Most recently, he founded and leads the Resurgence Missional Theology Co-operative. The Church Report has recognised Mark as the 22nd most influential pastor in America. His sermons are downloaded more than a million times a year. Mark is married to Grace and they enjoy raising their three sons and two daughters.

Stephen Van Rhyn - South Africa

Stephen is the Lead Elder of Jubilee Community Church in Cape Town, South Africa. He is married to Anna and has two young boys, Josh and Ben, and one daughter, Bethany.


David Stroud - UK

David Stroud leads ChristChurch, London and the Newfrontiers UK team. He has been involved in leading churches for over fifteen years, and ChristChurch is the third church that he has planted. He is married to Philippa, who works as an adviser on issues of social justice in Westminster, and they have three children.

David Devenish - UK

David Devenish is based at Woodside Church, Bedford, UK. He is working with many churches in Russia and Ukraine, and preparing churches and individuals for world mission. He has written the books Setting People Free, Demolishing Strongholds and What On Earth Is The Church For? He has also developed various training courses. He is married to Scilla and they have four grown-up children.

P-J Smyth - South Africa
P-J leads Godfirst Church and one of the Newfrontiers apostolic teams working in Southern Africa, involved with planting and strengthening local churches. P-J, Ashleigh and their three sons live in Johannesburg, South Africa.

David Holden - UK

David leads New Community Church, SE London, UK and travels internationally for the Newfrontiers team, particularly helping national team leaders. David has written Battle for the Mind and with Liz, Raising Children - A Parent's Privilege. He is married to Liz, and they have four grown-up children & two grandchildren.

Guy Miller - UK

Guy is based in Bournemouth, UK and heads up the team that oversees the Wessex region. Guy also leads the eldership team at Citygate Church, Bournemouth, and has responsibilities in India and Portugal. He is married to Heather and they have four children.

Wendy Virgo - UK

Wendy is a popular speaker, travelling widely both in the UK and internationally. She has written many books including Leading Ladies, Women Set Free, Mainly for Mothers, Mary: Mother of Jesus, and Sarah: Mother of a Nation. She is married to Terry and they have five grown-up children.

Mick Taylor - UK

Mick studied theology at Spurgeon's College, London, UK, and Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, USA. After serving in two Baptist churches, he was an elder at Bracknell Family Church for over ten years before joining the team at Kings Church, Catford, London nearly four years ago. Mick regularly teaches on the FP Impact and Leadership Training programmes in the UK and has also been involved in the training of leaders in Russia, Ukraine, Romania, India and China. He recently became a contributor to the Closer to God Bible reading notes.

Roger Smith - UK

Roger leads Downham Way Family Church in South East London, UK. He is a Magistrate in Central London and Vice-Chair of Governors in a local school. Previously he was Head of Public Policy at CARE, based in Westminster, Vice Chair of the Centre for Bioethics and Public Policy, and planted the Newfrontiers church in Bournemouth. Roger is married to Elizabeth and they have four children and two grandchildren.

Steve Oliver - South Africa

In 1996, Steve and Heather Oliver and their three sons moved from Cape Town, South Africa, to Clarens in the eastern Free State. There they planted Dihlabeng Church. Steve has subsequently seen churches planted into neighbouring towns and across the border into Lesotho. He has a heart to see the poor not only impacted by the gospel but to be caught up in God's mission to reach the nations.

Jeremy Simpkins - UK

Jeremy has been in full-time leadership for over 20 years. He was part of the leadership teams of the Hastings and Eastbourne Newfrontiers churches prior to planting Jubilee Church Teesside in the North East of England. Jeremy leads the teeam that serves the Newfrontiers churches in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Yorkshire, Cumbria and the North East of England and is married to Ann.

John Groves - UK

John is the lead elder of Winchester Family Church, UK. He has served the Newfrontiers family for over twenty years as an Ephesians 4 teacher with church oversight and prophetic ministry. He has international involvement, particularly into India, Nepal and Russia and is passionate about the effective ministry of the local church. John is married to Marian and they have three adult children and five grandchildren.

Greg Haslam - UK

Greg was born and raised in Liverpool. He is married to Ruth and they have three grown-up sons and one granddaughter. He studied Theology and History at Durham University. After teaching high school, he trained for the ministry at London Theological Seminary before moving to Winchester, where he pastored for 21 years until his call to Westminster Chapel, London in March 2002. Greg has travelled widely as a preacher and conference speaker, both in the UK and overseas. He believes strongly in the recovery of strong, healthy churches characterised by a strong and vigorous God-centred focus. This is manifested primarily in a renewed confidence in God's Word and a conscious engagement with His Spirit. Such churches bring hope to the world! He is the author of many articles and five books, including Preach The Word! (Sovereign World) and A Radical Encounter With God (New Wine Ministries).

John Hosier - UK

John is a pastor / teacher based at Church of Christ the King, Brighton, UK from where he travels widely and internationally in his teaching role. He has had major responsibility for Newfrontiers training programmes for many years and is also the author of several books, including Christ's Radiant Church. John is married to Sue and they have two sons and seven grandchildren.

Ray Lowe - UK

Ray is married to Sue. Until being released for wider ministry, he had been leading Biggin Hill Christian Fellowship full-time for 30 years. He serves a number of churches around the world. Ray's passions include golf, tennis, lecturing on Church History and enjoying life generally!

Matt Hosier - UK

Matt has recently moved from SE London to lead the Newfrontiers church in Poole, UK. He is a member of the Newfrontiers Theology Forum and teaches on ethics on the Newfrontiers Leadership Training course. Before full-time Christian ministry, Matt studied zoology to postgraduate level and also has an MA in Christian Ethics. Matt is married to Grace and they have four daughters.

Sue Hosier - UK

Sue has been based with her husband John at CCK in Brighton, UK for 22 years. She regularly travels with John in the UK and overseas and has a particular heart for leaders and their wives. She is regularly involved in mentoring young women. Interests include gardening and seven grandchildren.

Edward Buria - Kenya

Edward is the founder and Senior Pastor of Kambakia Christian Centre. The church runs a popular TV programme, which is watched by millions in Kenya and beyond. He has planted many churches in Kenya and other countries in Africa and provides apostolic oversight for the Newfrontiers churches in the region. Edward and his team have been actively involved with the recent crisis and he is a member of the Government's Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission. He is married to Fridah and they have four grown-up children: Mercy, Joy, Samuel and Joel.

Simon Holley - UK

Simon is lead elder at King's Arms Church, Bedford, UK where setting people free to enable them to fully participate on God's mission has become a core value of the church. Simon is married to Caroline and they have a lot of fun raising three lively children!

John Kpikpi - Ghana

John is the Senior Pastor of City of God Church, Accra, Ghana, which began in 1992 in his home. It has now grown to a very vibrant church, which has planted four other churches. He has apostolic responsibilities in seven nations in West Africa. He is married to Alex and they have five children. 

Sam Poe - USA

Sam serves on John Lanferman's apostolic team in the USA. He and his wife Marlene have travelled widely serving churches in the USA and other nations. In recent years, they have been particularly involved in working together with churches in Russia and the Ukraine. Sam and Marlene are presently based in Tacoma, Washington where they are part of a new church. Sam is also serving other churches related to Newfrontiers in that region as a part of the apostolic team.

Julian Adams - UK

Julian is originally from Bay Community Church, Cape Town, South Africa, where he was an elder. He moved to the UK in August 2006 in response to God's leading for him to be with Terry Virgo for a season and become part of Church of Christ the King, Brighton. In August 2007, he returned to South Africa for a few months before returning to Teesside in the north of England. Julian has travelled widely serving Newfrontiers churches in the UK and elsewhere.

Phil Wilthew - UK

Phil is married to Carole, has two children and is an elder in City Church, Newcastle, UK. He serves churches prophetically, particularly in the North UK, and has a passion to develop prophetic teams. 



Keith Hazell - Canada

Keith and his wife Nova live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and are based in Mosaic Church. Keith has been in the Prophetic Ministry for more than 40 years and ministers extensively at home and abroad. He has a growing relationship with Newfrontiers churches and has served some in East Anglia for more than 20 years. He and his wife are British born and have strong roots in Eastern England. They are blessed to serve in the Body of Christ along with their family, teaching and demonstrating the Prophetic Ministry.

Andrew Wilson - UK

Andrew is part of the leadership team at Kings Church, Eastbourne, UK and has a passion to communicate truth about God. He has two theology degrees and is responsible for leading one of the FP-Impact training bases. Andrew is married to Rachel and is the author of Deluded by Dawkins? and Incomparable: Exploring the Character of God.

Martin Charlesworth - UK

Martin has served as pastor of Barnabas Community Church in Shrewsbury for over fifteen years and oversees the Borderlands region of churches. Martin serves on the Newfrontiers Theology Forum and teaches on the Future Leadership programme. Martin is married to Jane, and they have three daughters. He loves playing squash, running and hill walking.

Joel Edwards - UK
Joel Edwards is the General Director of the Evangelical Alliance, UK and is a passionate advocate of both diversity and uity within the church, but unity with a purpose; to see real change for real lives and real communities. Joel serves on a number of faith, government and public agency advisory groups, and is a Commissioner for the Equality and Human Rights Commission. He is also a regular broadcaster for UK and international media. Joel is committed to seeing long-term change for the world's poor, and chairs the Micah Challenge International Council. He is an honorary Canon of St Paul's Cathedral and has an honorary doctorate from the University of St Andrews.

Paul Woolley - UK

Paul is the Director of Theos - the public policy think tank. He has a background in theology and politics and is a regular conference and media commentator. In addition to working as a Parliamentary Researcher and a Director of a political unit, he has extensive public affairs experience in the charity sector. Paul's current research interests include social cohesion in a pluralist society and the moral dimension of the State. Paul is married to Ruth and lives in Central London.

Scott Marques - Zimbabwe

Scott, married to Claire with two children - Kimberley (10) and Stephen (8) - was born, raised and currently lives in Harare, Zimbabwe. He is Lead Elder of River of Life Church (Eastlea) in Harare and leader of n apostolic team currently serving churches in Zimbabwe. The apostolic team oversees Farming God's Way and Operation Joseph, initiatives currently operating in Zimbabwe and other African nations. Scott is the owner and Managing Director of two retail companies in Harare.

David Adams - South Africa

David and Herma Adams and their son and daughter live in Cape Town, where David is an elder of Jubilee Community Church, a church that has sought to include people from all walks of life - from different cultures, languages and races, both the poor and the more affluent. David is serving on the Ministry with the Poor task team that Steve Oliver leads.

Martyn Dunsford - UK

Martyn is pastor of King's Community Church, Hedge End, Southampton, UK. He and his wife Gaynor have ministered in over 30 nations. In 1992, he founded the charity Care and Relief for the Young (CRY) for the purpose of rescuing and restoring young lives broken by poverty, oppression, exclusion and abuse. Martyn is passionate about ministry with the poor, especially in the context of cross cultural world mission and serves on the Ministry with the Poor task team led by Steve Oliver.

Joel Virgo - UK

Joel grew up in Brighton, UK where he now serves as lead elder at Church of Christ the King. He also leads the Newday team. He is married to Kate and they have a daughter and two sons.



Peter Brooks - Australia

Peter leads Bridgeway Community Church in Sydney, Australia. He also heads up the Newfrontiers team that works into the Pacific Rim nations. He has a great wife, Susan, and four fantastic children. He is also an awesome surfer!


Mbonisi Malaba - Zimbabwe

Mbonisi is a part of the apostolic team that serves Newfrontiers churches in Zimbabwe, where he lives with his wife and best friend, Tashinga, and their one-year-old son. He also leads the team that planted River of Life Church in Zimbabwe's second city, Bulawayo.

Roger Bye - UK

Roger has recently moved to Cumbria from Kent and is an elder at Kings Church, Cockermouth, UK. He has been in full-time ministry for over 25 years and serves churches in Cumbria, Scotland, Canada and Mexico as part of the northern team. He is married to Cheryl and has three adult children: Ruth, Josh and Chloe. Given the opportunity he enjoys outdoor activities.

Adrian Holloway - UK (Mobilise only)

Adrian was a sports journalist for The Times, and a BBC radio and TV presenter. He is married to Julia and they have three children. He is the author of The Shock of Your Life and Aftershock and is based at ChristChurch, London. 


Philippa Stroud - UK (Mobilise only)

Philippa is the Director of a Westminster based thinktank called The Centre for Social Justice. She works in the political arena developing solutions to British poverty. She is married to David Stroud who leads the Newfrontiers UK team and together they have three children: Edward, Victoria and Rebekah.

Livy Gibbs - UK (Mobilise only)

Livy is married to Stu and is mum to their two young sons. Having been in Bristol for ten years, they now live in Greenwich, London, where they are in the process of planting a multi-cultural church to impact the city. In her 'spare time' Livy enjoys eating olives, drinking cappuccino and jogging (though not all at once!)

In addition to the Main sessions, there will be a full Seminar programme for both Leadership and Mobilise. There will also be Training Tracks over three days for in-depth equipping on specialist subjects.
